PlusNet newsletter.
As always it’s been a hectic month here at PlusNet Towers. We’ve
launched a new broadband package that’s designed with online gamers in
mind, increased the amount of money you can earn by recommending PlusNet
to your friends and family and we’ve been recognised by Custom PC magazine
as the Best Internet Service Provider.
We’ve also been busy looking at the web applications of the future to
ensure that we can offer you a service to embrace these new technologies.

1. Into online gaming? We’ve got big news for you
If you’re into online gaming we’ve got a new product that might be
right up your street. Last month we launched Broadband Your Way Pro. Pro
is a fast and reliable broadband product that prioritises all gaming and
VoIP traffic, ensuring it always has the highest priority on our network.
That means that you will experience low latency and ping times whenever
you are gaming.
To celebrate the launch of BBYW Pro we’re hosting a LAN party here
in Sheffield. If you want the chance to frag each other (and some PlusNet
staff too!) then have a look at this blog on the Community site.

2. Now earn even more for recommending a friend
Tell your friends about PlusNet and now you can get up to £30 if they
join us. You will now receive a one-off payment of up to £20 for every new
broadband customer you recommend. If they take our Home Phone Anytime+
package too, you’ll receive a further £10.
You’ll also receive a monthly discount on your subscription for
every person you recommend - and remember, there is no limit to how much

3. Custom
PC Award Winners
Custom PC have just held their annual awards and have awarded us with
the ‘Best Internet Service Provider’ award. Read more about the award and
the magazine on our Community site.
The results of last month’s customer satisfaction survey show that
63.4% of respondents were either ‘very satisfied’ or ‘extremely
satisfied’. This shows an increase over the past 5 months and reinforces
our commitment to offering you the best service in the industry. For full

4. The future of the web – what’s coming up?
This week we sent some of the guys from PlusNet HQ down to London for
the FOWA (Future of Web Apps) conference. This provided us with a great
opportunity to see what’s up and coming in the industry and what
technologies we should all be looking out for. It’s also a great chance to
spot an early candidate for the new Facebook or YouTube. By keeping on top
of industry happenings we are able to ensure that our platform continues
to develop to handle whatever the web throws at us.

5. Force9 and Free-Online customers are now using
PlusNet
Force9 and Free-Online customers can now manage their accounts using
the PlusNet website. If you used to refer your friends and family to
Force9 or Free-Online products, you can now tell them about PlusNet and
continue to get your My Referrals payments. Top
6. Have
you got ‘up to’ 8Mb?
All of our Broadband Your Way packages offer ‘up to’ 8Mb speeds as
standard. Some customers on older products haven’t been upgraded to ‘up
to’ 8Mb speeds – if you’re one of these customers please visit http://max.plus.net to claim a free upgrade.

Here’s a round-up of some other news from the last few
weeks:
PlusNet HQ fully embraced the 13th annual ‘International Talk Like A Pirate Day’, we gave away a
brand new Canon SLR camera to our photo competition winner, and a years free broadband to
one of the lucky people who filled in our Rate My Service survey! We’ll be selecting one lucky
winner every month so give us your feedback now.
Oh, and we also
went down to Wembley and returned with the ISPA charity football cup.
