1. What routers are available?
Standard Broadband
- 4-port wireless router: Thomson TG585v8
- 1-port wired router: SpeedTouch ST516v6
Plusnet Fibre
All Plusnet Fibre customers receive the Netgear WNR1000 (a 4-port Wireless N router) as standard.
[Top]2. How much are they?
If you agree to stay with us for 12 months, our routers are free (If you leave within 12 months of receiving a free router, we'll ask you to pay for it).
Otherwise, 4-port wireless routers cost £40 and 1-port wired routers cost £20.
All routers incur a seperate P&P charge. Please see question 5 for details of this.

Yes, subject to the same pricing conditions as described in the previous question.

[Top]4. Delivery and tracking details
We'll send your router 1st Class via Royal Mail. As this is a standard delivery method we cannot provide delivery tracking numbers.
Your router package is designed to fit through most letterboxes so you won't need to be in when it's delivered. If there's a problem, your postman should leave a card so you can collect the package from your local Post Office depot. If there are any widespread problems with Royal Mail deliveries, we may use an alternative courier to avoid delays. Check our Community Site for announcements about this if anything happens.

- Residential customers: P&P costs £4.99
- Business customers: P&P costs £6.08 + VAT
6. I've ordered hardware, when will I receive it?
- New customers: we'll aim to get your hardware delivered on the day your broadband is ready to use
- Existing customers: You'll receive your hardware package 2-3 days after ordering
If your delivery is taking longer than this, please contact our Support Team and we'll look into it for you.
[Top]7. There's a problem with my hardware, who do I return it to?
If we sent you the hardware within the last 12 months we'll replace it free of charge. Contact our Support Team and we'll send you a postage paid bag to return it.
