1. How do I add or remove Call Features?

Go to the Call Features Tab on the Telephone Control Panel.

2. How long does it take?

In most cases, Call Feature orders (to add or remove) take 1 working day, but can take up to 3 working days.

Call Features Bundling

You can add just one Call Feature, or create a bundle for a discount:

  • 2 for £3.00 - save up to £2
  • 3 for £4.50 - save up to £3
  • 4 for £6.00 - save up to £4
  • 5 for £7.50 - save £3.49

The Call Features that you can add to a bundle are shown in the table above.

4. How do I use Call Features?

This is free and included with all our phone packages.

To You should
Hear the number of the last person to call you Dial 1471
Return the call (10p per use) Dial 3
Withhold your number when making calls Dial 141 then the number you want to call
Clear the last number stored by 1471

Dial 1475

Voicemail (1571)

Voicemail (1571) makes sure you don't miss a call - whether you're away from home or on another call.

This is a free feature but it's not turned on by default. You'll need to add it via the Telephone Control Panel.

To You should
Listen to your new messages Pick up the phone. You'll be alerted that you've got new messages by a stuttering tone
Access your messages Dial 1571

Voicemail Extra (Call Minder)

Voicemail Extra is similar to Voicemail (1571) but it has more options and you can check your messages from any other phone.

To You should
Access your messages Dial 1571
Listen to your messages Press 1 or say one
Check/Edit your personal options:
  • Number of rings before answering
  • Record your own greeting message
  • Change your PIN
Press 2 or say two
Link your mobile and get SMS alerts when you get a new message
  1. From the home phone number, dial 1571
  2. To link your mobile, press 6
  3. Enter the mobile number that you want to link, followed by #
  4. Press 1 to link this mobile or Press 2 to enter a different mobile number
Remove or change your linked mobile
  1. From the home phone number, dial 1571
  2. To link your mobile, press 6
  3. After pressing 6, you will be hear a message 'The mobile number linked to this line is .....'
  4. To change it, press 2, or to unlink this mobile from your mailbox, press 3.
Check your messages from a linked mobile
  1. Dial your land line number from the linked mobile phone
  2. On hearing the Call Minder greeting, press7
  3. This will take you to the beginning of your messages
Check your messages from another phone
  1. Dial your own number.
  2. On hearing the Call Minder greeting enter your PIN number
  3. This will take you to the beginning of your messages

Conference Calling

Also known as '3 Way Calling'. This let's you talk with 2 other callers at the same time.

To You should
Start a Conference Call Dial the first number and wait for an answer
Get the second person on the call Ask the first person to hold. Press RECALL, wait for the dial tone. Then dial the second number. Wait for an answer
Get the first person on the call Ask the second person to hold. Press RECALL, wait for the dial tone. Then dial 3. You can talk to both people at the same time, or either person individually
Switch between one person and another Press RECALL, wait for the dial tone. Dial 2
Switch back to Conference Calling Press RECALL, wait for the dial tone. Then dial 3
End the call with the first person Press RECALL, wait for dial tone. Then dial 5
End the call with the second person Press RECALL, wait for dial tone. Then dial 7
End the call with both people HANG UP

Caller Display

With Caller Display, compatible handsets will show you the number of the person who's calling.

A number won't be displayed if it's unavailable (usually international calls) or if the caller's withheld it.

Reminder Call (£2.50 unlimited or 15p per use)

Set your phone for an alarm call.

To You should
Set up the alarm Dial * 55 * (time) #

Set the time in 24 hour clock format
(e.g. 6:30pm is 1830)

Cancel the alarm Dial # 55 #
Check the time Dial * # 55 #

Call Waiting

Get an alert if somebody tries to call you when you're already on a call.

To You should
Switch on Call Waiting Dial * 43
Speak to your second caller, when you hear a beep alerting you that you've got a second call Press RECALL
Return to your first caller Press RECALL
Check that Call Waiting is on Dial * # 43 #
Switch off Call Waiting Dial # 43 #

Call Divert

Divert your calls to any UK landline, mobile, and most international destinations.

There are 3 codes you can use:

  • 21 - Divert (all calls)
  • 61 - Divert calls you don't answer within 15 seconds (no reply)
  • 67 - Divert calls when your phone is engaged (busy)
To You should
Set up Call Divert Dial * (Code) * (Number to divert to) #
Check Call Divert Dial * # (Code) #
Cancel Call Divert Dial # (Code) #

When this feature is used, if applicable you'll be charged for the diverted part of each call (e.g. the cost of calling the number you're diverting to from your line).

Ring Back (£2.50 unlimited or 10p per use)

Get a call back when a busy number becomes available. Ring Back will keep trying a busy number for up to 45 minutes.

To You should
Set up Ring Back Dial 5 when you hear an engaged tone. Wait for a confirmation message then hang up
Answer a Ring Back Pick up your handset when you hear the special Ring Back tone
Check a Ring Back Dial * # 37 #
Cancel a Ring Back Dial # 37 #

Note: You can't use Ring Back on calls to ISDN lines, non-UK destinations and some multi-line switchboards.

Anonymous Call Reject

With this feature, if a caller withholds their number, they won't be able to call you.

To You should
Block withheld calls Dial * 2 2 7 #
To check if this feature is active press * # 2 2 7 #
Allow withheld calls Dial # 2 2 7 #

Calls will get through if the incoming number is 'unavailable' (when the caller has not made any attempt to withhold their number). This can happen in a number of cases e.g. if the incoming call is made from an overseas provider.
